Who we are

CandidRecord ("we", "us") operates candidrecord.com. For any privacy question or request, contact info@candidrecord.com.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you ask to join the private-beta waitlist.
• A source label (which page the request came from) so we understand where interest comes from.
• Website assistant messages, if you choose to use chat. Please do not include CV details, passwords, API keys or sensitive personal details in chat.
• Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) kept briefly for security and abuse prevention. Chat turn logs record timing, a session-token hash and provider metadata only, not message text.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts on this site, so there is no cookie banner. The website assistant uses sessionStorage in your browser to remember the current chat and does not set cookies.

Website assistant

If you send a chat message, it is sent to CandidRecord's server and may be processed through OpenRouter, a third-party LLM provider, so the assistant can answer from our approved FAQ. Contact details are sent only if you choose to pass a message to a human.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your email only to send you a beta invitation and occasional product updates about CandidRecord. Our lawful basis is your consent, given by submitting the waitlist form and confirming your address.

Double opt-in

After you submit the form we send a confirmation email. You are only added once you click the link in it. If you don't confirm, we discard the address.

How long we keep it

We keep your email until you unsubscribe or the beta programme ends, after which we delete it. Unconfirmed addresses are removed automatically.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the waitlist, send email and operate the website assistant, under agreements limiting them to processing on our behalf.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from any email using the link in it.
• Ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, or to correct or delete it.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for material changes, tell waitlist members by email.
